Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account or using the Safrly app or website, you agree to be bound by them.
1. About Safrly
Safrly (“Safrly”, “we”, “us”) operates a technology platform that connects drivers who have empty seats on a planned journey (“Drivers”) with people travelling in the same direction (“Passengers”) so they can share travel costs. Safrly is not a transport operator, taxi service or employer of Drivers. Rides are arranged directly between members.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must provide accurate information and complete identity verification.
- Drivers must hold a valid driving licence, valid vehicle registration, insurance and any permits required by local law.
3. Account & verification
To keep the community safe, every member must verify their phone number, a government-issued ID and a live selfie. Drivers must additionally verify their licence and vehicle. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for all activity on your account. We may refuse, suspend or remove verification if documents appear invalid or misleading.
4. Publishing & booking rides
- Drivers must publish accurate route, time, seat and price information and only offer journeys they genuinely intend to make.
- Contributions must only cover a fair share of trip costs (fuel, tolls, wear) and must not generate profit, unless permitted by local law.
- Passengers must be at the pickup point on time and respect the Driver’s vehicle and stated preferences.
- Booking confirms an agreement between Driver and Passenger; Safrly is not a party to that agreement.
5. Payments, cancellations & refunds
Where in-app payment is available, fees and any Safrly service fee are shown before you book. Cancellations and refunds follow the cancellation policy shown in the app at the time of booking. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may lead to restrictions on your account.
6. Safety features & SOS
Safrly provides safety tools including live trip sharing, masked communication, ratings and an SOS button. The SOS feature alerts your emergency contacts and our safety team and helps you contact local emergency services. SOS is a support tool and does not replace emergency services. In a life-threatening situation, always contact local authorities (e.g. 112 in India) directly. Features depend on your device, network connectivity and location permissions. Misuse of SOS (false alerts) may result in suspension.
7. Code of conduct
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, discriminate against or endanger any member.
- Drive under the influence, speed, or drive unsafely.
- Carry illegal items or engage in unlawful activity during a ride.
- Create fake profiles, impersonate others or share someone else’s account.
- Use Safrly for commercial taxi services or to solicit members off-platform.
8. Ratings & content
Reviews must be honest and relevant to the ride. You grant Safrly a non-exclusive licence to display content you post (profile photo, reviews, messages where reported) for operating the service. We may remove content that violates these Terms.
9. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, fail verification, or put others at risk. You can close your account at any time — see the Delete Account page.
10. Disclaimers & liability
Verification reduces risk but cannot guarantee the conduct of any member. The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Safrly is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the acts or omissions of Drivers and Passengers. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have.
12. Changes & contact
We may update these Terms from time to time and will notify you of material changes in the app or by email. Questions? Write to support@safrly.app.
